This portion of our website is made up of resources from a number of different publications that will allow you to explore the home health care and caregiver industry from a number of different perspectives. Check in frequently because we are always adding new articles. We hope you enjoy what you find and your increased education makes your situation more worry free.

www.aarp.org/families - AARP website includes free searchable database for nursing homes, assisted living centers, home health agencies and hospices; articles on all aspects of aging and caregiving; features reading lists, checklists and links to organizations.

www.AgeGuide.org - Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging site with information for both caregivers and care recipients; includes information on local resources in northeastern Illinois for the National Family Caregiver Support Program, links to state and national resources.

www.alz.org/we_can_help_caresource.asp - Website of the Alzheimer’s Association. They have created a wonderful tool to help family caregivers. Once at the CareSource page click on Lotsa Helping Hands to navigate to the page where you can set up a personal community. It can include friends, neighbors and family and help members stay connected to organize the care of their loved ones.

www.benefitscheckup.org - Free services from the National Council on Aging; lists more than 1000 federal and state assistance programs for older adults. An online questionnaire helps the user identify what programs he/she may be entitled to, along with instructions on how to apply for them.
