On Saturday September 12th in downtown Barrington, We Do Care, a non-profit organization, hosted their annual Freedom Festival. The festival along with a Freedom Run and Walk, began in 2004 to show support for our Veterans and to troops currently overseas. In Home Services helped in sponsoring this year’s event. “We work with so many Veterans, this event was a good way to show our support and appreciation” said the Founder of In Home Services Patricia Livesay-Smith. The event kicked off with a memorial ceremony to honor our Veterans. Live entertainment and military speeches filled the day and showed patriotism. In Home Services donated a 50” plasma TV, which was raffled off at the event and all proceeds from the raffle, over $449, were raised and then donated back to We Do Care. Amazingly, the winner of the plasma TV was the wife of a fallen soldier just months ago overseas. “The way everyone came together to support our troops was truly heartwarming”.
